After being discovered by Eli 'Paperboy' Reed, The Harlem Gospel Travelers released their first LP in 2019 titled He’s On Time (Colemine Records), debuting on the Billboard charts and garnering rave reviews, with Pop Matters hailing the album’s “musical transcendence” and AllMusic praising it as “dreamlike and joyous”.
In 2022, The Harlem Gospel Travelers released their sophomore album titled Look Up! (Colemine Records), earning them their second Billboard charting spot. Craig Charles of BBC6 music called it "the soundtrack to one of the best albums of the decade so far.” The band also openly tackles subjects like racism and injustice with a fierce sense of pride and determination. The album has also caught the attention of Sir Elton John who has invited the band to his Rocket Hour radio show on Apple Music, and declared them as his second favorite American group.
